When seen we will publish photographs and videos of flytippers disposing of their rubbish on the streets of our community.

Our aim is to stop our Semilong Northampton neighbourhood looking like a rubbish tip.

Semilong Northampton Litter Lout 1

LITTER LOUT casually threw his litter on the ground with no regard to the people who live, work or pass through Semilong Northampton.

Litter is a permanent problem in our neighbourhood and despite it costing thousands to clear up, some people think it is still alright to throw there litter on the ground.

Our aim is to make these litter louts think twice about using Semilong Northampton streets as a litter bin and to reduce the amount of litter that our residents have to put up with.

As this map of reported crime shows, our Semilong Northampton neighbourhood is a crime hotspot, with the crime rate figures never falling below the HIGH mark.

Our aim is to help to reduce that figure by highlighting the publiscised crime in our neighbourhood.

We will also support the Semilong Neighbourhood Watch Scheme.

Comment: you have only shown one little bit of Semilong, how can you make a video about a subject like this and have it completely inaccurate? Obviously, Alliston Gardens is the worst part of Semilong for litter but you can't make a video about one tiny area in semilong and say that it represents the whole of semilong, it is not on.

SEMILONG.ORG's REPLY: The point of the video is to show the litter problem in Semilong & asks why we have a litter problem at all. This it does very well.

You state "obviously, Alliston Gardens is the worst part of Semilong for litter" as if litter of this magnitude is to be expected or is acceptable at Alliston Gardens. No-one wherever they live or walk in Semilong Northampton should have to put up with this high level of litter. It is a health risk, encourages crime and it is a downright disgrace that council tax payers in any part of Semilong Northampton do not get the level of service they deserve & so have to put up with streets like these !!

The whole of Semilong has an ongoing litter problem that is just worse in some places than others. For example St. Andrews Road in Semilong can get pretty dire, as can Semilong Road right in front of the town CCTV camera. In fact the video you comment upon shows scenes right across Semilong.

However, If you want to see more of the litter problem in other parts of Semilong as well as pot-holed roads and a literney of other issues that blights our Semilong Northampton community, then feel free to look at the other videos on our youtube channel or on this SEMILONG.ORG website. They are there for the world to see and many more are to be uploaded soon.

If terrible scenes of the litter here in Semilong Northampton make you angry, then good !!

Comment: I lived in Northampton for 37 years until I moved down to Bournemouth a few weeks back, the last 13 was in Semilong. Brook Street was disgusting - litter & Dog Mess. A young lad who lives inbetween Brook Street/Uppingham Street on St. Andrews Road was always going round cleaning up. Spent most of the day going round Semilong, but Brook Street and the streets around is as it was the worse - Seen the top of Brook Street m8 near the wearhouses, just bloody awful there!?!

Comment: I hate going there because the litter and it is kind of boaring but one of the worst things there is at the back of the pub near the river... It is gross.

Comment: This is minor to the litter in Liverpool.
I simply cannot understand the mentality of people who do this.
It is time for every school, newspaper, radio and TV to regularly denounce this behavour.
