After recent drug den raids Detective Sergeant Gan Thayanithy told SEMILONG.ORG: "We would urge people in the community to be vigilant and to be on the look out for signs that a cannabis factory is in operation near them.
"Some of the things to watch out for are houses in darkness during the day, homes with blacked out windows, people coming and going at strange times during the day and night and strange smells coming from the property.
"Anyone who has any suspicions should get in touch with police immediately."
Further to an appeal issued last Thursday 21 May, opposite is an artists' impressions of the man police would like to speak to in connection with a distraction burglary in Byfield Road, Northampton.
The distraction burglary occurred at an address at Lapstone House, Byfield Road, Northampton on Tuesday 19 May.
At some time between 1.45pm and 2.15pm, a man wearing a grey suit called at the door. He looked official and was carrying a clip board and displaying a name badge.
He asked to check the property's electrical system and was allowed into the property. It wasn't until much later that the householder discovered that cash had been stolen.
The man who came to the door is white, with white hair and aged about 50. Another property was targeted in the area and again cash was stolen.
Residents are reminded to never open their door to a caller that they do not know or who they are not expecting.

Offenders broke into a house on the London Road between 7pm and 7.15pm.
Two men broke in and disturbed the resident, one asking her if she would change a £20 note whilst the other searched the house.
It is not believed anything was taken by the elderly victim was understandably very upset.
The two offenders are described as follows:
One of the men (artists impression opposite) was around 5'8'', English, clean-shaven, aged around 25-30, medium build. He wore padded clothes and had darkish eyes and had a missing tooth. He was wearing a navy blue cap, dark blue cap, dark blue long sleeved outdoor jacket, which was zipped up to his chin.
The second male was around 40, around 5'10'', of medium build, with curly dark hair.
