Officers from Northampton Borough Council wish to speak with these two individuals who were seen dumping rubbish into our Semilong Northampton community.

Please remember, flytipping is a criminal offence with a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison or an unlimited fine !!

When seen we will publish photographs and videos of flytippers disposing of their rubbish on the streets of our community.

Our aim is to stop our Semilong Northampton neighbourhood looking like a rubbish tip.

Semilong Northampton Litter Lout 1

This LITTER LOUT casually threw his litter on the ground with no regard to the people who live, work or pass through Semilong Northampton.

Litter is a permanent problem in our neighbourhood and despite it costing thousands to clear up, some people think it is still alright to throw there litter on the ground.

Our aim is to make these litter louts think twice about using Semilong Northampton streets as a litter bin and to reduce the amount of litter that our residents have to put up with.

As this map of reported crime shows, our Semilong Northampton neighbourhood is a crime hotspot, with the crime rate figures never falling below the HIGH mark.

Our aim is to help to reduce that figure by highlighting the publiscised crime in our neighbourhood.

We will also support the Semilong Neighbourhood Watch Scheme.

Parking In Semilong Northampton

Parking is a huge problem in most areas of Semilong Northampton and some residents feel it is justified to double park.

Emergency Vehicle Access

With double parking, alongside the inconvenience to other standard road users, it is only a matter of time until emergency vehicles find they cannot pass to attend a call as quick as the community expects them to.

It should be remembered the fire service have the power to move vehicles blocking their path and this often means a certain amount of damage is caused.

Parking Close To The Kerb

SEMILONG.ORG realise that sometimes residents cannot park as close to the kerb as one would otherwise do, due to the pot holes that are close to some kerbs, but please park as far in as possible.

Consider Other Road Users

We urge everyone to consider other road users, pedestrians and residents when choosing where to park.

Other areas of our Semilong community have ample and under-used car parking facilities. So even if we have to have a small walk to our vehicles, that is not a major problem. There is no automatic right to park outside our own front doors, those days are long long gone. Please be considerate.

Road Wise

SEMILONG.ORG will soon be mounting a Road Wise campaign. As part of this, photographs of vehicles double parked which obstruct other road users will be taken and posted on the site.
